Starting Friday, November 13, 2026, Friday and Saturday dinners at The Mayan celebrate Birthday Month and the Mayan day sign of the evening. Dedication sets are at 6:15 PM and 8:00 PM, Belize time. Birthday Month dinners are Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is closed Sunday, when Sunset Cook Your Catch Fishing and Sandbar Grill is a public ticket on the Sandbar. It starts at 4:00 PM, and the sunset seafood boil is about 5:30 PM.

The free custom song, and the choice of a free dessert or a shot, are for guests staying at Lina Point or dining at The Mayan during their birthday month. Reserve Friday or Saturday dinner to be at the table. Shots are for guests 18 and over. Staff confirm the birthday at the desk and may ask for an ID.

A live DJ from Music Mayan plays the song at dinner with the live drummer. The song, and the free dessert or shot, are the reason to reserve.

Grand opening night is Friday, November 13: the first Dinner at The Mayan with Live Drums & Music.
Breakfast and lunch: Tuesday–Sunday, 7 AM–2 PM, last reservation 1 PM. Monday has no breakfast or lunch.
Dinner at The Mayan with Live Drums & Music. Two seatings from Nov 13, 2026: 5:30 PM sunset and 7:30 PM late-night. Fri–Sat dinner until 9 PM (last dinner orders 9 PM), then Bar Bites (hot dogs and nachos) 9–11 PM in the lounge, lounge open until midnight. Live drums and music, with the band playing guests' birthday and special songs, and staff in Mayan uniforms.
Tuesday–Thursday and Sunday the kitchen closes at 2:00 PM after breakfast and lunch. Bar Bites, the pool bar menu, runs Sunday–Thursday including Monday, 4:00–9:00 PM. Monday breakfast and lunch stay closed, and in-house Lina Point guests still receive continental breakfast. The venue is not fully closed on Mondays because Bar Bites is open 4:00–9:00 PM.
Sunset Cook Your Catch Fishing and Sandbar Grill: On Sundays the kitchen closes at 2:00 PM after breakfast and lunch, and Bar Bites is 4:00–9:00 PM. From November 15, 2026, Sunset Cook Your Catch Fishing and Sandbar Grill is a public ticket on the Sandbar. It starts at 4:00 PM. Fishing is self-guided, with no guide or fisherman. We provide bait and 4 guest fishing poles, and self-guided paddleboats for Mangrove Bay, or guests can fish off the docks in our channels (good snapper). Guests help clean the catch and grill it over an open fire. The sunset seafood boil is about 5:30 PM, with Belizean rice and beans, fresh vegetables, and one rum punch with dinner. Backup fresh fish is ready if a guest catches nothing. There is live music, a fire pit, a DJ, and a drum circle. 4 fishing spots, $55 USD per person, prepaid online. There are 4 guest fishing poles. Pick Your Fish is $30 USD per person, prepaid online: a whole snapper bought ahead and kept on ice, cooked the same way on the Sandbar, for guests who do not fish or cannot get a pole.
